On Wednesday 23 March, Phicap won the CBRE Office Space of the Year 2022 in the category ‘Best Small Office’ during an award ceremony.
Office Space of the Year has been organised for the past 3 years by CBRE and is the first competition to reward the best working environment in Belgium, both in terms of the quality of the workplace and the dedication of the company to its employees.
After reviewing no less than 26 applications for this edition, the 6-member jury shortlisted 3 candidates per category and then deliberated on criteria such as accessibility, employee services and innovation.
Following the growth of the Phicap group through the acquisition of 2 companies in 2019, the desire was to bring all the teams together on the same site in a building accessible by all types of transport.
During 2021 (see article of 15/05/2021 – https://phicap.eu/new-offices-for-the-team/), Phicap integrated its new space and could not miss this edition of the competition in view of the points highlighted during all phases of the project:
– Taking into account the way of working within the group (flex-desk, clean-desk and activity based) and the new post-covid criteria
– Maximising worker well-being and ergonomics
– Apply the circular economy by recovering furniture from the old offices of the group’s companies
– Minimise energy consumption and waste
From the outset, the teams were involved in the development project during workshops. An internal team of Property and Project Managers and the interior architect Liesbeth Pieters were appointed.
